Don't think you'll get them cheaper unless someone has a fire sale, I noticed last year or so bullets have been on the climb even on various classifieds.

Very limited in 200gr tipped for .35cal- hornady only does the FTX, so its not that. It's not solid copper so not Barnes. I'm guessing Nosler, but haven't gotten any so it a pure guess based on what I see available for the caliber.

Compare the item #35105 with the 200 FTX item #. Guessing they are most likely FTXs?

Why specifically 200 grain .358's? I'd buy some cheap 9mm bullets and stuff a few grains of pistol powder in them suckers and flame away.

Mid south description says polymer tipped, the hornady FTX is a soft tip, I do not think it's the same bullet unless Mid south is using the terminology to hide they are FTX until you get them and find out.

Guess I hadn't really thought of that. Just figured I'd use the weight I was going to hunt with (solid copper bullets) so I could do the break-in and sight-in at the same time....

9mm bullets are only .355, shade small. Not sure I want to run those through a fresh re-bore...

What do you expect would happen that would be detrimental? Just curious. I run 9mm bullets in a 358 for a small game bullet and they're very accurate.

This will be my first rebore, but I've heard since the rifling is cut, it can be a bit rough and takes some working down. I would think that I'd need tight fitting bullets to really get it cleaned up, but not sure? If you don't mind, could you PM me details of your load for these? Definitely sounds like it could make for fun plinking to get used to the rifle and build muscle memory. I appreciate you responding and giving your input!

There’s a lot of lot of load data out there for pistol bullets in .358 rifle. I know Speer and Hornady have some.

9mm pistol bullets? Right idea...just wrong bullet. Use a .38 Special/ .357 Mag 158gr bullet... diameter .357". That's the classic 35 cal plinker. Plenty of data out there for it. Try something like these from American Reloading. 500 of them TYD for $49. Load em up in front of Unique, Bullseye or a reduced charge of either of the 4198s or RL7. Lotsa fun!

Speer has the 180’s on their website.I just bought a couple boxes.

That's what I was just looking at! Definitely seems like that might work for both purposes.

Graf’s has a much better price on the 180’s if they still have some. You’re referring to the HCFN, right?
