I have two of the 4.5 X 14 , and i believe 1" Both have been around for several years, one on a 7 mm Mag, the other on a tried and true, 300 WM. Both have standard crosswires with adjustable turrets. Both have spent thousands of hours in the field and i have had no fault with either of them.

My coonasss buddy has been hunting whitetail and mule deer with me for over 20 years with a Tikka 695 7mag topped with a 4.5-14 Conquest. It's never missed a beat or lost zero. Good scope.

You Texicans call anyone East of the Sabine a Coonass, even us Rednecks.

I tell my buds I’m a Cajun by choice, not by birth. Those dudes do know how to have a good time and are good cooks.

If your friend, they’ll give you the shirt off their back. If you pizz one off, he won’t whizz on you if you’re on fire and he won’t forget. There’s not much in between.

Interesting bunch.

Right on Dirtfarmer. Great people, loads of fun to be around. I tell them the only reason they've been hunting with me for 35 years is because of their food. They never disappoint! They know their way around the outdoors too, that's for sure.

I am now braced for impact... Tell me what you have experienced.
Without scrolling the the thread to see if there are more details, my advice is buy it. Great scopes. I have one and it's been fantastic. Have another Meopta (same scope) as well and they've been great.

I have half dozen Zeiss Conquests, most on light recoiling guns. I’ve had then 5-10 years and had zero problems.

Have been running a 3x9-40 Conquest on a 257 Weatherby for the last 13 years. I have almost 600 rounds down the pipe with the Zeiss sitting on top. Haven't had one single issue. In fact, I had Kenton install a dial on it a few years ago and so far it's tracked and returned to zero after every single use. The glass on these old Conquest's is incredible, especially considering what it cost when new. It's much better than many other more expensive scopes I've purchased.

Good scopes.

Have had two 3x15 for several years. One on a 300 WSM Tikka t3, the other on a Remington 700 Ti 7 SAUM. I like them a lot.

The Zeiss Conquest line is the lower cost line of Zeiss scopes, assembled in the USA (not Germany). They are about on par with most scopes in their price range, extremely bright and clear, but nothing super special. The ranging reticle tells you how far it is supposed to be good fo trajectory compensation (Z5 = 500 yds, Z8= 800 yds and so on

Well, I’d lose no sleep over taking the original conquests anywhere for anything. I’m sure someone has had issues, but I’ve never seen one have any issues, first hand.
