Dinny, you post the way you want to post, and ALL the other Guys will post the WAY they want to post.

Shiiiit.....this dumbazz has the nerve to tell others how to price their items. Now he wants people to list their stuff so it's easier FOR HIM. Unbelievable.

Sounds like a modern day cowboy problem to me..

I fully realize some people love me, some people hate me, and some people just don't care. Go ahead, get it out of your systems. I want to read all about it (and keep growing my ignore list).

If I see something I'm ready to pull the trigger on, I click on the posters name to see if they have other items that may be of interest to me.

Good advice. I like it when some folks will link all their posts together and say something like will combine shipping.

😂

Post it how you want to post it. “Stainless steel Winchester mag box for sale” is going to get more views from people interested than “large lot of shít for sale.”

If listing similar items, I do try and put them in the same ad. But on this board, I sometimes choose to list items separately simply because you cannot edit your post after 24 hours. So after 24 hours, you have to add a reply to note that something is sold instead of striking through text or making a notation in the original or -- lo and behold -- simply changing the title. It often makes for a big mess. Who wants to wade through 30 posts just to see if a box of bullets is still available?

I am not computer savvy.
I am very talented with firearms, fishing equipment, chainsaws, and the like.
If we need an editable post to clean up the threads, but also need the original for other reasons.
Wouldn’t it be easy if we just added a box to ☑️ in this area when you post a for sale ad?
1. The original ad remains.
2. check the box and it automatically duplicates an editable version as the first “reply”
Am I still a computer idiot or would this cure the problem?

Ah. Now I know why OP's cannot or will not edit the headers of their ads to say the item has been sold. I'll just keep wasting my time scrolling to the end of the ad just to learn the item is sold.

Well, it sort of is broke. I like this site for the knowledge many offer up on almost everything and anything. Not being able to edit posts, at will or at least embellish on top of the original content, makes individual management of all forums difficult when it doesn't need to be.

I get that the site is a throwback to simpler times but try doing the basic things like the search engine, getting an answer to how many posts must you have to "PM" and posting images is a wonderment. Makes you wonder if anybody is behind the curtain.

Heck, charge a nominal fee per classified ad and the carpet bombing will end. I'm with Dinny on this one.
