Gun show in Anchorage sorry no pictures, 99 250 Savage, not factory drilled and tapped, 1 million plus ser #, lever safety, EG style forend with a high comb buttstock? Metal was proud at the tang. Restock or?
Also Savage 99 22 Hi Power with an Ivory butplate probably from way North fit was perfect about 1/4 inch thick. If I see them at future gun shows I will get pictures.

If they were good deals they’re already gone and won’t be at the next show Proud metal at the tang, probably sanded and refinished

The 250 sounds like a 99A Version 2 if it has a schnabel forearm, but it wouldn't have a monte carlo stock - so yeah, probably replaced.

That’s a nice hunting rifle. It’s an early 300. Looks like a take down model. Rear factory sight was probably drifted out to mount a scope. Tang sight more than likely added later as a replacement.
