I don't believe it will be raining so I plan to set up on the south side of the building. I will have a canopy set up behind a Gray Ford Expedition. I'll be the short fat old guy wearing some type of headgear.
If you are coming/going, stop by and say hello, and maybe beat me out of something. I bring stuff to let go of, not to carry back home. Ask Butch!
ya!

I wanted to go but it’s a haul for me, 4.5 hours. Haven’t been in a couple of years. Wife’s dad not doing good, wife had to buy a new puppy too. Maybe next year.
Thanks, Billy

I'll be the short fat old guy wearing some type of headgear And Crocks. I may be in my Crocs. If they're good enough for GeeDubya, they're sure as heck good enough for me. See you Friday at the Mexican food joint Geedubya.

Thought I would take the opportunity to thank Butch Lambert for his efforts in regards to the Shilen Swap meet.
It was a ball.
As a serendipity I got to have dinner with six other fire members last night.
Thanx again Butch!
ya!

It was a great time. I sold a couple pistols and my 30-40 Krag ammo. Turk Takano set up on my table. Turk is the photographer for a major Japanese gun mag and was the fire that started the March scopes by Deon Optics. He brought some scopes that that he had photoed and wrote articles. I bought one at a very good price for my friend and neighbor. Turk also brought a new prototype 12x42 March scope that the mounts were machined to the scope body and it had some real neat features. I have a couple March scopes, but don't do any shooting that requires a $4000 scope. I did buy 1000 22 bullets also from Turk. Back in the day Mike Walker was heavy in the BR game. Her purchased some custom carbide dies and the custom shop produced the 52 grain bullets. Some say they were the best ever made. I should have bought all 4,000, but they went instantly. I put up with quite a few Campfire buddies. Oklahoma, Houston, and one from Colorado he said. I don't care what everybody says, you all ain't bad!

No,
They shut down business operations at quitting time on Friday afternoon, start boiling crawfish or frying fish, and open up their facility that contains millions of dollars of tooling and equipment to folks they treat like family. It is a throwback that reminds this 72 year old Texan of how things used to be.
ya,

If I happen to be down that way when it is happening I hope I remember to stop, would enjoy seeing the barrel making equipment.

I missed it this year and last year, won’t miss next year if possible. Last time I was there I won a Shilen trigger in the drawing.
Good company with good people. They answer the phone when ya call too.
Thanks, Billy

I had a great time and enjoyed seeing old friends. I met some guys from the fire but missed meeting some others. Hate that. It seems to get bigger every year. There were a lot of fine deals on great stuff there. Hope to make it gain next year.
