I clicked on his “Newsroom” speech. Im not familiar with the television show. I have never seen it on TV.
I have liked and respected him since his portrayal of Colonel Joshua Chamberlain in 1993s movie Gettysburg. He did a great job in this, he even looked like Chamberlain!
I guess maybe because of this, I’m getting several clips of him where he’s decidedly negative towards Trump. I don’t know if their directly from the show, or if they’re his own private views.
Am I gonna have to lump him with Tom Hanks and DeNiro?😀 if I watch any movies with them in it, it is in spite of their appearance. I deliberately try to avoid them, because I know w they look down their nose at people like me!🤬
Actors and singers should stick to acting and singing. I hate having someone uninvited trying to influence my opinion. When I want help from someone, I will ask for it.🤬

His Newsroom speech was scripted, obviously, for the movie- however Jeff Daniels is extremely liberal from other statements I've seen from him and interviews I've watched. I've tried to cut out most of the media I watch that includes liberal actors, but it is difficult at times.

Impossible, IMO. We’re constantly bombarded with leftists policies because they own the media.
One would need to be blind, to miss this, but many people are just that blind.
I respect Josh Chamberlain. He even made General by the end of the war. Took a terrible wound at Cold Harbor, which eventually killed him years after.
But he was also his own publicist, which always helps your career and rise in rank!😀

The newsroom looks interesting, but I’m afraid it’s probably very liberal.
Like I said, any media, news, magazines even family entertainment movies, all push the agenda.
Time is especially bad. The chiropractor is a friend of mine. The magazine rack Always had Time on it.
I said “Johnny have you ever actually read Time magazine?”. “No, why?”
“I said take a look.”
He did and immediately cancelled the subscription!
