Took my brother on a trip to Panama I wanted him to meet my girlfriend and experience the magic of Panama that I fell in love with. I purchased two Daiwa big game 4 piece travel rods. Daiwa is a solid company and the price is cheap enough that if they exploded on my fighting a fish it wouldn't break my heart to much. Happy to say these things can take a beating. Several tuna in the 20 to 30 lb class. A big one that popped off close to the boat that would probably be 50 or better. And a big amber jack that was around 30 pounds or more. These fish had the rod bent in half underneath the boat on several occasions. The amberjack damn near whooped my ass fighting it for about 10 minutes rod completely bent down under the boat at times. It was a completely new level of fishing for my brother he was not used to getting his ass kicked after one fight with a fish. It's been a great couple days and now he is hooked as well.
