Plain Cape Cod chips, blue cheese crumbles, diced onion. Nuke until cheese melts. Sounds odd, thank me later.

Not all Coonasses, but some put gumbo over potato salad. I like both but never thought to combine them in a bowl.

The glass catsup bottles of my youth don't even show up on the internet.

They had a long skinny straight neck and a huge cylindrical bottom.

Must have held a quart or better of the finest store brand your mom would buy.


I remember going to the IGA and they would take your picture and print you out an ID card in case you got lost.

Like Jim said above a big ol honk of cheddar and or sourdough dipped in this. Been doing it since I was a kid. Oh yeah great on meats too.

Honey on dill pickles. Learned from a Czech doctor who used to live in the neighborhood.

Peanut butter on prunes. Makes a good wrap as well.

My dad would mix grape jelly in his scrambled eggs. It’s actually not bad!

The Mrs makes a bad ass bkfast casserole we always throw salsa on top

My dad always had pineapple / grapefruit juice . About 50/50. It’s a good drink!

When she was alive, there were always canned peach slices and cottage cheese in her fridge.

My dad would do peanut butter and onion sandwiches all the time.

Peanut butter , dill pickles and potato chip sandwich . Sweet , sour, salty in every bite. Crackers and condensed milk for dessert.

I like hot fresh baked biscuits, with a couple of slices of crispy bacon inside, then dip them in a mixture of half peanut butter and half Karo syrup for breakfast.
Sometimes even with scrambled eggs. 🤠
