I might regret this question!

I always preferred Star Trek over Star Wars. Trek seemed to be based on technological solutions whereas Star Wars seemed to rely "the force."

I know, I know, warp drive and the force don't exist. The difference is, one day, faster than light will.

Between Star Trek and Mission Impossible (Barney rocked it!) my desire to learn about technology resulted in my becoming an Army radio operator / repairman, an Air Force electronic repair tech, and lastly running an AF electronic warfare shop.

Star Wars

But old school Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and Scotty were pretty cool

DON’T BE TOO PROUD OF THIS TECHNOLOGICAL TERROR YOU’VE CONSTRUCTED. THE ABILITY TO DESTROY A PLANET IS INSIGNIFICANT NEXT TO THE POWER OF THE FORCE.

Thank you for bringing this up!

I couldn't stand the newest ST series, it was full of so much woke horse manure I stopped watching it after 4 episodes.

Star wars is a space western mixed with Taoism.

The original Star Trek dealt more with the big questions of humanity.

Star wars is fun. Star Trek will make you think.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good space western. Two of my favorites are Cowboy Bebop and Serenity.

The Wrath of Khan remains the best Star Trek movie.

The Next Gen was ok, it would of been better if they'd spaced the brat.

Deep Throat 9 was ok, but after that the franchise basically lost it's way.

Star Trek. No ifs, ands or buts!

Star wars except for the 3 that came out in the middle. Jar jar binks almost ruined it all for me.

Not sure who they thought that would appeal to? May the guys behind me in the theater that talked through the whole movie.

StarWars Canon and not the Kathleen Kennedy Bullshit. Star Trek- the original- was great. Next Gen was less great. Now, nobody [bleep] cares.

ST was and SW were WAAAY overdone just to wring money out of the franchises. I will say ST Strange New Worlds is really quite good.
