Two LG LED/LCD flat panel TVs in a row went 'belly-up' in the third year of ownership. Fortunately I did something I typically never ever do -- I bought a 4 year extended warranty on each that replaced both with equally priced models.
After 2 failed LGs I went with Samsung on the third which is on it's 5th year now and seems to be a winner so far.
The warranty company tried to give me the run-around and weasel out of covering the loss on the second failed TV.
After giving them a scathing, highly detailed customer review on YELP, though, they contacted me via phone and rolled out the proverbial "red carpet" to satisfy my wishes if I'd just remove my negative review. Turned out that my highly detailed negative review was exactly something they were dealing with via a class action law suit at the time. I actually came out ahead with a brand new Samsung 55" TV plus a couple hundred dollars extra...

75" at Walmart are cheap, don't remember which brand but I think they were under 400.00.

65" Sony Bravia. Best TV I have ever bought. Still have an old Vizio LCD 42" which is around 15yrs old, and another newer Vizio 50 inch.
Samusung 60" lost a row of LED's after 3 years. The Sony replaced it.
Been having the Sony for around 3-4 years with a great picture and absolutely zero issues.

Bought a 75” TCL from Amazon. It lost sound after three months and would only work with plug in speakers. Contacted Amazon and they sent a new one three days later. Packed up the old one but the delivery truck that delivered the new one said they don’t pick up for return. I contacted Amazon and they said just keep the “broke” one. So after messing around with the “broke” TV I got the sound to work. Now I have to 75” tv for the price of one.

The TV guy at Sam's Club said they get returns on Samsung, none on LG. Went with LG. So far, so good. FWIW

If looking for a new tv research whether or not they have the receiver equipment to use an Antenna. A lot of them are only Cable capable and wont work with an over the air signal.

We bought a color TV in 1970 for $500. Must have been a good “crop failure” year lol

Just a "consumer beware" public service announcement:
If you buy a Vizio TV (like the brand new 75" one we just bought) and it is defective.......do not think you will get it replaced with a new TV. 😠😠
Vizio's replacement policy (for new TVs that are under warranty) is to send you a "recertified" set as a replacement for the one you just bought new. That is.......you buy a new one that's junk.....you get a used one that's been "inspected by a technician" as a replacement. 😠😠
Ain't happening. I currently have 5 Vizio TVs in my house. Won't fool me again.
Vizio's customer service is BEYOND total 💩💩💩 !!!
BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!!
AVOID THESE AZZCLOWNS like the plague !!!
Do your friends a favor and share this as you see fit. If it didn't work when you bought it why not take it back to the store for a new one? No....... It worked for about 60 days. Started dropping the apps during the 90 day warranty period. But, store (yep...... Walmart) policy is that service is through yhe manufacturer. You don't bring 'em back to the store.
