ALASKA is a "HARD COUNTRY for OLDMEN". (But if you live it wide'ass open, balls'to the wall, the pedal floored, full throttle, it is a delightful place, to finally just sit-back and savor those memories while sipping Tequila).

But there are people out there who would like to see it. I signed a petition last year at a gun show saying I was against that.

Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.

HB162 and SB229 concerning "Gun Violence Protective Orders" were both filed this session. I haven't read the detailed wording of these bills, but the summary points towards these being "Red Flag" laws. Fortunately, neither seem to be gaining any traction in committee.
The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.

Couldn't help but notice that there were no comments under either of the two links. I would surmise that any such had been taken down that were against the bill. OTOH, there were none shown as supporting this legislation.

I suspect they were trial balloons. The house bill is 11 months old.

I vaguely remember receiving a notice from the NRA or GOA back around the beginning of this year's session that these were out there, but haven't heard anything since. Update: Found it.... Red Flag
