Just watched a documentary on prime called the longest month. The First Air Cavalry in Iraq during the surge and wondered if you had seen it?
I thought it was very well done showing the care the unit had for each other as well as the men on the ground that they were trying to help when the shtf.

The guy is a certified true American bad ass and we are blessed to be in his company here on the Fire.

Dan's tale needs some editing to be publishable, but if doesn't make your nuts crawl to read it, you are no man.
I worked with and knew a few Scout pilots. They were universally stark raving crazy - but also incredibly effective. They made my job appear to be as safe as teaching Sunday school.
