Looking for a good rifle in 17 HM2. Not interested in Savages but if you have a CZ, Ruger, Remington, Sako etc. let me know.

The Kimber listed and anything Anschutz is likely out of my spending range for 1-2 trips to slay gophers. May keep an open mind on Savage or Marlin. Wish the T1X came in the Mach2. Spent a few days shooting the HMR in the hay fields last week and the thing is ridiculously accurate but 250 rd mornings add up in ammo.

Unless you have mach2 ammo already, it is harder to find than HMR ammo, and almost as expensive, from what I’ve seen.

Never had as much fun with a rifle as I did the Marlin heavy barrel I had about 20 years ago. Wish I still had that one. Rifle Basix trigger at less than 2# made it stupid easy to kill with.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

I'd recommend doing what I did. I built a few in the 10/22 platform that run flawless and also my favorite is a CZ457 with an acculite barrel. I have a very rare Remington 504 but it would be pricey IF i let go of it.
