Attended a show today. Found a 511x complete with the "x" sights. Grabbed it and was thrilled that it was complete. Went about 3 rows over and Found another! Grabbed that one also. Looked for years to find one complete and came home with 2. Lucky day I guess!. Anyone else collect the 500 series. 22s?

Not a collector but have owned several as trading stock. I used to buy em cheap at pawn shops in the off season. Great value and I liked the safety as opposed to the cocking knob on some brands.

Gave my Bro inlaw my 511x and sold a 512x a while back. Still have one 512x. I bought the 2 512x’s with the idea of parting them out. Sad I know but the value of the parts are worth more than the whole. Well I haven’t done it yet…, The blue is near perfect but there was a issue with the stock finish. So I used a thinner and stripped the stock. Need to reapply a finish I have a 513 S and a 513 T also. I have had a lot of the 500 series guns over the years. All the ones I have shot, shot well. I have not shot the Sporter yet, I was thinking about putting the 512x frame one it so I could mount a scope. Eyes are not working the way theused to with irons.

Yes, it's great to be able to scope them without drilling and tapped. The top one my father gifted me.it came without sights so I put a leupold 4x rimfire on it. Its a tack driver. Its DOB is January 66. The 2 below it are the ones I picked up yesterday. Also January 66 and one in forefront December 64. Very happy with them.

I inherited my dads 511 when he passed. I had it drilled and tapped for him as his eyes aged so I was able to compare it to an Anschutz I had at the time. Dads Remington outshot the Anschutz, slightly.

That's awesome! Rare to find with the rear sights because all of the X's where grooved for scope. The sight got removed to accommodate a scope. I run older low power scopes with a straight front tube so I can leave the sight on my 511x. I think I have a gloss aluminum tube Weaver 1-3x on my 511X.
I walk around like I'm ok, but deep down inside, I wanna buy another gun.
