What are we looking at, and why? The lean? It is a ramp for driving a car up on so you can get under it to work on it. My great grandfather had one many, many years ago. It could also be used as a ramp to facilitate loading a mower, 4 wheeler, etc. into and off of the bed of a pickup. Nope. See the blocks at the top. That is to stop you from driving the front wheels over the edge when you drive the car up. Ramps like that go back more than 60 years and nobody was using riding mowers and 4 wheelers then.  Okay, you want to nit pick, I'll play. I'm not going to back a car up to the ramp, and a pickup's tailgate will likely go over the blocks. And just because it wasn't made for that doesn't mean it can't be used for that. Your point is taken, though. Dude they asked what it was, they didnt ask what it could be used for now. When they built the damn thing was a different era. Either you can grasp that or I am wasting my time explaining it.

I grasp what you are saying just fine, thanks very much. I said it could also be used for loading mowers or 4 wheelers; and it could. I made no statement as to its original purpose. Just adding to the conversation. Sheesh.
I thought that the smiley face prefacing my previous post would demonstrate that I was just having a little fun with ya, but you evidently didn't grasp that.
