No connection. Looks like maybe a Left Hand KS 300 Win Mag barreled action on GB. Looks like KS barrel contour and chamber marking. Could be a quick LH KS 300 Win Mag rifle if someone had a spare KS stock and bottom metal laying around. Only thing that throws me is the gloss blue finish. I can't remember seeing a KS with gloss blue metal work. Ooops... ETA Link to LH BA on GB

"My understanding"... KS rifles were a bit lighter contour on the barrel. Assembled in the Custom Shop. Hence, perception is better fit, finish, accuracy than standard production rifles. KS stocks are a thinner, lighter profile made by Brown and later McMillan. KS stocks have a more open grip that some folks (like myself) prefer over the standard stock ergonomics. No longer produced. Totally different feel than a standard Rem 700 BDL.

For the dumb people...like myself. What is the significance of KS? If I recall correctly KS stood for Kevlar Stock. At least that was the term bandied around when they first came out. Looking back I wish I had bought more of them. My two are two of my favorites. And my first, a left handed in 300 H&H will be with me until the I just can’t go anymore.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

That is my recollection as well. And FS stood for Fiberglass Stock. Same/similar stock shape. But a few ounces heavier due to fiberglass construction vs Kevlar. I think the FS models also had the standard iron sights.

I have both a lefty KS 35 Whelen, a lefty FS 270, a Brown pounder on a custom lefty 260 and lefty long action KS stock in the safe waiting for an action some day.

I’m aware of right and left-hand LA; and right hand SA; just haven’t seen left-hand SA. But with Remington, just when I think they didn’t … Appreciate the f/u.
