My tang safety 77 cost $217.00 in (1971 ?). I took it on two Canadian hunts. I fired 3 shot groups every two years for a decade or three. The overlaid groups are under an inch. I didn't think that was bad for a 7 MM Remington magnum. It doesn't have a box of shells through it yet. Can I sell it? I don't know.

Hammer price quotes are my favorite. I have yet to understand the math involved in them, but they’re always entertaining Everything is worth pennies on the dollar - unless he's selling something.

Sounds like a smart man. Idiots overpay for their chidt.. As for this thread, the OP needs to check Gunbroker for completed sales. That's about the best way to figure out value. The reason it's always suggested. The last time I saw a Ruger UL, I could have bought it for $600.00, and it was in like new condition. That was 3 years ago. I know they sell for much more than that though. These threads are always funny, because you have guys saying, I bought one of those back in 1980, for this amount. Plus there is no pictures. Good luck with it..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I’m familiar with finding values. I just was seeking another valuation from folks that aren’t paying gunbroker prices. That includes guys like the $400 valuation guy..

I was going to say $750 - $850 with prime calibers and examples bringing more. Especially those that trigger an emotional response.
They were great looking guns. I had three back in the late 80s and put MPI fiberglass stocks on them. I honestly don’t remember what happen d to the wood stocks…possibly ended up in the fireplace.
But I would definitely check Gunbroker.

IT's worth exactly what someone is willing to pay .Please stop putting bait out there hoping to get a bite. The classifieds as a WTS is where your attempt to sell belongs. Lj
