I am seriously looking at the Holosun 407-507 line and have heard great things. Any first hand experience here?

I have a 507K, but I've only had it for about 3 weeks, hardly time enough to be proficient. However, IF it's going on a gun with sights that you can co-witness with, it's easy enough to learn. I got lucky, my iron sights co-witness with the red dot perfectly on my Tisas Carry DS. I expect that I'll do well with it tomorrow night at the monthly match. Even if I can't find the dot quickly, I can still use the irons, which I'm quick with. Honestly, though, I've been lucky and always find the dot soon enough.

I talked to several people who use the dot sights, and they all say the Holosuns hold up well for hard use (admittedly all on 9mm pistols, but they shoot them a LOT). I dry-fired it quite a bit earlier today, getting ready for the match tomorrow night.
Depending on what kind of gun you're going to use it on, I wouldn't worry too much about it. They are sturdy, and you can change the battery without taking the sight off the pistol (and that's a big deal, even with a 50K hour battery life).

I'm using a red dot, but that will depend more on YOUR eyes, which is better for them, red or green. I hear that green is harder to see in bright daylight, but I can't say that for sure.

I've lots of 507's but for the Glock MOS's I prefer Holosun's SCS.

Been using the 507c’s and 407c’s for a bit now. Not a single problem.

I shot a Holosun 507COMP the other day. It had the green dot and was pretty nice with the bigger window.

I had a Trijicon RMR and have shot the SRO’s too and they are probably a better sight but twice the price and have more tint and just a tiny bit of magnification.

I been lead to believe this company supplies hardware to PLA, China is member of BRICS. Are you sure you want to support those endeavors?

My son has a 507 on a 34 MOS that he uses for USPSA. He has about 20k rounds with it without a single problem.

Not surprising it appears to be civilian version of optic used by People's Liberation Army, the famed Mil-spec.

I'll let you know, we shoot the first Friday night of the month, and the results get posted on Practiscore sometime Saturday AM. I won't know anything concrete until then.

I really like the SCS as well as it mounts directly to the slide with no plate. Wonder why it only goes 20K vs. 50K batt life for the 507C?

I did "okay" for a first time out with a red dot. I had some gun issues that I can't blame on the sight (extraction failure) which bollixed up the works, and since I didn't lock the dot picture, I lost it somewhere and couldn't even find it at all (YAY co-witness sights, though). Lesson learned, get the dot brightness where you like it and LOCK IT. 28th of 36 shooters, I had hoped to do better, and I will when I get used to it.

New gun, new sight, all in all, not a bad showing. I gotta remember that I'm old, outa shape, and just plain fat, and that I'll never be as good as those Grandmasters I'm shooting with. As long as I'm having fun, though, I'm going to keep on doing it, and bettering myself a little at a time.

“NOT compatible with GLOCK 43X MOS or GLOCK 48 MOS, please refer Holosun's "K" or "EPS Carry" optic for those models”

Wish this model fit my 48MOS. I’ve got a 507k on it and I really like it.

I have two 507 Xc2's, one on a Glock 40 and one on a Dan Wesson Bruin. I am a big fan of them. I had a RMR on the Glock, bought the first Holosun, and then sold the RMR to get another Holosun.
