I just bought a 38-55 rifle and want to shoot jacketed bullets with it. The original diameter of the 38-55 is .377 and all current 38 caliber bullets are .375. I just want to try some 200 grain flat nose bullets to see if they will shoot in this original gun. If you have any, I would appreciate getting a few to try…

Thanks

Thanks, it’s not that I can’t find them, I just want a few to see if they will work when they are .002 inches undersized. Otherwise it is casting bullets.

Hawk bullets at $1.00 each are a little much, but I thank you for the link…

I am extremely pleased with the Sierra 2900s on my various .375 SOCOMs.

Accurate, fast and hard hitting.

I have only loaded ammo so no help in get you a dozen or so to test drive.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Jeeze what are you some rich farmer who pretends to be broke to get free stuff?

Pro tip.....use some random kid you find on the road to garner more sympathy.

Post up one of your kids with the pig and I will see how much mileage I can get with that.

Early thanks...

375 Hornady 220s and Sierra 200 gr bullets work well in my Winchester 1885 (new mfg) but were just barely marked by the lands in my New England arms target and tumbled badly. 377Barnes and cast 378s did really fine in it.

Sorry - all of the jacketed here are for the .375 H&H bear rifle @ 300 gr. +.

Noticed that some good guy here may have what you need. Hope that works.
