My chickens hardly make a peep….. it’s the roosters that can be super noisy. I’ve a mix of Rhode Island’s, Austrolorps, Americaunas, and a few little bantys.

Kill the roosters! We've raised Barbed Rocks, a number of different Wyandotte's, and a Mixed breed or two. Hens are pretty quiet, but they all sing after they lay an egg.

I guess there's no quiet chickens, search says- if there's no rooster around more often than not a dominant hen will take on the duty of crowing.

Maybe I’ve been outta the egg business too long. The house was about 40 yards from our house . I don’t recall alot of noise unless there was a predator around. Now Guineas are loud sometimes
