Track loaders have kind of lost ground in sales the last 30 years, but when you need one...nothing works as well, building demolition with rebar tangles come to mind. If that is a 977L, the most popular size ever made, you could get darn near purchase price for the tracks...I notice the front idler is well back in the track frame, a sign of a lotta life left in the undercarriage. But a word of caution, if you have to go into the trans or cross shaft for steering clutches, brakes or worse, get rid of it quick. One of the most labor intensive surgeries on any Cat machine. The labor bill will exceed 4X the machine value. If you can find anybody that will work on it, same for 955 and 933. Used to work for a Cat used parts dealer and we had people come in wanting to buy parts for final drives, steeing clutches etc. Tell them the price of the parts and they would say that was more than they paid for the tractor. Come to find out they bought the tractor so they could clear the property they just bought. I learned if I ever need dozer work to hire it done. Tractor repairs if needed was on their dime not mine.

Come to find out they bought the tractor so they could clear the property they just bought. I learned if I ever need dozer work to hire it done. Tractor repairs if needed was on their dime not mine. Good tool for burying the FedEx man and his van. Do those things have GPS trackers? Asking for a friend.

Congrats Cash! The way I look at it , once you get 100 hours out of it your ahead. Old equipment has can have good value. Works out good too for guys that need them in occasion.

The bigger question is, what's wrong with it? The auctioneer started her at $25k... but the crowded had thinned WAY OUT 1/2 way thru the auction and were tryin to wear him down... I threw up $4k and he dropped the hammer right way... kinda a FU to the crowd... I reckon.
