Hello all!
I know a young lady who asked me to clean her fathers’ much neglected Revelation model 120. He passed away recently. I believe it to be a store brand of the Marlin 60. It is an early rifle and only has two holes on top of the receiver for a scope base. A Weaver 1 piece for a Marlin 336 won’t work. Using two of those holes one hole misses lining up by half a hole. Does anyone know what Weaver base this rifle might take? I can do a tipoff base for .22 rings or a base for standard cross slot rings. Does anyone have one they would sell? Or can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks for any help!
Rick

Distance between centers of the two holes in the receiver?

No, too early to be a grooved receiver.
Thanks, Rick

Measure the center to center dimension and hit up Brownells or a similar business to see if they can assist.

1. Weaver 58 has holes 3.275 apart but it has a flat base. If it fits, you could bed it in epoxy to match the curved top.

2. Find a base that fits the curve and drill one or two more holes. A curved bottom base for a smaller diameter receiver would be stable but touch only on the edges. Would still work. A base for a larger diameter receiver could be bedded like the flat base Weaver 58. Ruger 10/22 bases are common.

3. If it has holes on the side, maybe a Weaver side mount #2 would fit.

It does have 2 holes on the side. I assumed they were for an aperture sight. I have a tip-off base for a model 39 I can try but I think it will be much too short.
Thanks for the suggestions all! Keep en coming.

If the two holes on the side are close together, they're probably for a receiver sight

It appears that the Revelation 120 is a store-branded Marlin 99. Before the grooved receiver, they shipped with a scope base, which is probably why Weaver charts don't show one.

The 99 is an M1 carbine looking rifle to me. The rifle I have looks like a model 60. Full length tube magazine, one piece stock, etc. thanks for all the help. Rimfirecentral or Marlin talk are excellent suggestions.
Thanks all!

Marlin Model 99C was the immediate predecessor of the Model 60. The 99M1 and 99M2 were versions resembling the M1 Carbine.

Failed at posting the pictures but here is the Revelation 120 that I’ve had for 50 years. It was old when I got it.
