Geez.....sorry for the family and the officer. Safety at a range is No Accident. As a range master for 40 + years, I have been shot three times myself,,, and here to tell you that getting shot is no fun at all.

None that I know, and I didn't know him. But when anyone in this profession is killed it is felt by all. Apparently, he was training with either SRT, which is an institutional level response team, Or STAR which is a statewide response team in two divisions. No more details than that. Maybe we'll be told something once the investigation is done, but probably not. The people who were there will talk so we get grapevine messaging. Will the department release a statement, I wouldn't count on it.
