Definitely a N frame. Not enough meat on the cylinder and there would be no lower portion of the barrel forcing cone if it were a K frame. The barrel is already cut flat to accommodate the yoke on a K frame in .38 caliber.

My Dad has a Model 58 that he bought new when they came out. I don't love shooting it with full power loads, sharp recoil for me. I have since switched him over to an ACME 210 coated bullet and some Trail Boss about 800 FPS. Much more fun.

While the 41 is a bit redundant to the 44 special/magnum, it is a cool cartridge and the more the merrier!

I think of them as a grown up Model 13. Had one I got in 1970 but active military with multiple assignments around the world made owning firearms a real hassle. It's a "wish it never got away".

I've got about a dozen on my list of those. Wish I could time travel back and tell myself how pissed I'm going to be that I sold them. It will require about a dozen stops.
