does wabi like accordion music? So many good accordionists, so little time
And, what's an accordion thread without some Champagne Music from the master himself.

Geno; Good evening my cyber friend, I trust that your part of California is getting acceptable and appropriate weather and that you all are well.
When you put up the Flaco Jiminez video, I just knew I'd heard him somewhere before. With a wee bit of ether webs digging, it came up with this which is where I believe I recall him from.
Our girls grew up listening to Tom Russell and Ian Tyson's Cowboy Real album, which introduced me to Tom Russell's other stuff.
Here's my pick of his accordion accompanied best.

I can tell you with certainty, if Dwayne, EdM or yourself post a music vid on the 24HCF, it's worth a listen.
Can't say that about many others (there are a few others) but most are a snooze.

Thanks,
not sure if you listened to any of the Iranian, Armenian, or Algerian stuff there, but they have some interesting interpretations of music and many times way different time signatures (is that what 4/4 is?) than Western music. Wife was a belly dancer for years, taught it even, and I've listened to hours of that music and still love it.
Growing up near the border there is always a place in my heart for Norteno and other Mexican stuff too.
