Picked up an A bolt titanium worth the money in Tulsa this past weekend. Someone has removed the sticky finish and pained the stock at some point. I talked to browning and they said they will replace it for free, but expect atleast 6 months right now.
If I have browning replace it what should I expect the replacement stock to look and be like? Also is the stock footprint on these titanium A bolts different than say an A bolt stainless stalker? I had one of those and this one seems different. Final question is I’ve considered putting a different stock on it at my expense, what would a good aftermarket stock be for this rifle? I’ve got a couple B&C stocks on other rifles and like them, but thought they might be a little heavy. Any information and thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

I had mine replaced about 2 years ago. It’s a painted camo pattern like their current pattern. I can’t say that it is a great stock but it doesn’t really feel like a cheap Tupperware version either. There is no duratouch coating on it.
I’m pretty pleased with it. Hope this helps. Great rifle by the way
KC
PS it only took about 2 months if I recall

I loved the skinny and svelte factory stock on my a-bolt - AT FIRST. It kicked harder than the caliber should and was very finicky about where I rested it on a bench. I replaced it with a B &C and everything fell into place first time out.
Yes, it feels a little thick in the grip compared to the Browning factory but I got over that fast. It turned that thing into a serious shooter and cut the recoil in a big way. Have a slogan sling on it and carrying is a breeze.
I didn't even bother to bed the B & C and honestly don't feel like tinkering with any factory synthetic at this point. Admittedly, maybe the titanium is different or improved.
Only thing needed with the B & C was a slightly longer trigger guard screw.
