I want to say I've seen a couple Euro scopes with oddball mounts too, likely older than the vintage Bushnell.

Anyways, I don't believe that was this as they say.

The cases look substantially bigger than the .223 cases I use, but that could be how close they are to the camera too I suppose?

Picture is real and the US Navy has addressed it plus the US Marine Corps has responded with the Optic properly mounted.

M-4 shooting 5.5mm (.223).

Not the US Navies best day but hopefully a learning experience and provided a good laugh.

It is possibly ble that the rocket scientist thought he was so smart that he could hit it with reverse optics..
