Not sure why they called that press conference, guessing it was to show unity between Trump and Johnson.
Trump has the (good) habit of playing the cards that are dealt to him and right now The House as we know, is extremely fragile. The exodus of Republicans has probably not finished. The Swamp is trying to flip it before the November elections. I will have to go with Matt Gaetz on this one, don't screw around with the speakership at this point, likely wind-up with Jefferies as Speaker. Keeping it together another seven months will be a challenge. FUBAR.
As a side note, I am no fan of Mike Johnson, I think at a minimum he is a spineless weasel. And he talks to us like he is teaching a third grade class. Kamala Harris without the giggle.
The good news is Trump has control of the RNC, cash is flowing in and they are beating the election integrity thing to death.
