Picked up this stock at a gun show this morning. I was wondering what model of 700 LA it might have come off of. It has a 2 screw hard plastic butt piece. Made for a floor plate model. Angled front end. Thanks

Looks like a 700 long action Classic stock.

Would it be a pre-limited classic?
The limited stocks I’ve seen have a rounded foreend and a recoil pad.

ADL checkering and style with floor plate. Interesting. Maybe some "dealer exclusive " or "special run"? Has the black plug instead of brass pin so I'm guessing 90s era up? Davidsons did special runs as did Grices and I'm sure there were others. Just a guess.

Remington also sold stocks that where factory Remington that may not have been on production rifles. That is definitely not one that I have seen. Always love Walnut!
I walk around like I'm ok, but deep down inside, I wanna buy another gun.

Yeah, it has me confused. Seems like most bdl style stocks I’m familiar with were the actual BDL stocks, Classic stocks, and the laminate ones. Definitely looks like ADL’s I’ve seen but with bottom metal cut out.
Thanks for the information. I’m eventually going to strip the finish and finish with tongue oil. Probably cut it and add a recoil pad. It’s going on a Sportsman 78 I have at JES being rebored to 9.3x62.

Looks like a 700 long action Classic stock. \ 700 Classic stocks don't have a raised cheekpiece do they?
