Police finally declare Sydney church stabbing a 'terror incident'

The attack targeted Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel during a church service, with the assailant, a 15-year-old boy, inflicting multiple stab wounds on the cleric.

NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb has officially labelled the stabbing at Wakeley church as a 'terror incident', amid warnings against vigilante actions from Premier Chris Minns.

At a press conference held on Tuesday, Commissioner Webb condemned any form of vigilantism, stating: "There is no such thing in Australia in taking the law into your own hands"

"You will be met by the full force of the law if there is any tit for tat violence in Sydney over the coming days," she said.

FWIW the perpetrator was rushed by several men, tackled and given a hiding.

The internet hero's may not be interested in the details, they are too busy trumpetting their own imagined bravery in that situation.

Story in the link DBT posted can't be right. The photo of Jamie Ingram, the guy who chased down the attacker, shows him wearing a suit and tie, glasses, nice haircut and no facial hair. Clearly not a manly man of action.

IF you watch the extended videos, a riot of local citizens broke out around the church. The little bit of explanation I could sift out of the news blather, apparently the local citizenry wanted IN THE CHURCH to deal with the miscreant. After the knife attack in the mall, the locals were not feeling so good about the religion of pieces... If I am wrong about the instigation for the riot, feel free to correct me...
