It’s a Springing Teal presentation

Bird is under power, going pretty much straight up vertically.

The method is to let the bird pass the barrel, move and mount the gun behind (below) the bird, push up through the target while keeping a hard focus on the target, pulling the trigger when the brain says to

And it's that easy.

'Cept it ain't.

Honestly curious

Yes

Thanks. I think it’s neat. Would be a great tool to instruct shooters how to be better at it
Friend of mine has a setup like that. Worked wonders when teaching a new shooter on the skeet fields. Easily allowed us to see what they were seeing and potentially doing wrong or rigjt

It’s ok

Nothing beats a good Instuctor over your shoulder who can call the shot instantly

Yup. Somebody who really knows shotguns can watch a person shoot and pretty accurately decipher if the shooter hit the target without ever seeing the target and if it broke or not.

Shotguns shoot where you point them. If you pull your head or look at your barrel it’s a lost cause at that point, most often.

Rifle shooting is all about the basics. Bone support, muscular relaxation, natural respiratory pause, trigger control, sight alignment, sight picture, and natural point of aim. It’s a lot to think about if it’s not practiced to the point of being second nature.

Shotguns are simple. Keep your head on the gun and look at the leading edge of the target until it breaks or falls. Also of course helps to point your belly where you intend to break the target, but much less critical than any of the 7 fundamentals of rifle shooting.

Which generation do you have? I have the Gen 4, it is a very neat tool. Going to use it for hunting as well.

Good stuff Rick. I'd like to do some of that kind of shooting. I'd suck at it, I am sure, but I'd like to give it a whirl. I have done very little clay shooting in my days.

The ShotKam belongs to the head of the shotgun section at our club.

All of the guys volunteering and 99% of the shooters who participate at the monthly shoots need help and instruction. I thought I’d use it to show them what it looks like over my barrel

I think the magnification is set too high and I will use the wide angle setting to do a few more in a week or so

Cool beans...

It would be fun to see you (or one of yo guys/gals) shoot a round... seriously.
