On my only trip to S. Africa I did shoot a baboon and missed a monkey. My PH told me to take them out. They announce your entrance to a hunting valley or mountain area. They make a loud noise and every animal in the area knows you are there. They are a very large PITA over there for hunters not counting the damage they to the farmers. Have a great day. Jim
While visiting a park in Cape town SA, they were camped out in the parking lot and visitor center. There was a group of guys chasing them back into the park with paint guns because they would raid the eggs from the surrounding Ostrich farms. They have nasty fangs.
