Absolutely, nowadays.

Probably a better deal now too.


In the 80s a rotor was $125.
Today half that for a good aftermarket one.

Those old ones were heavier, vented, and could be turned.
Turning cost money, and a lot of time they had hard spots. The dang hard spots would
show up soon after turning and you would have problems again anyway.



Lotta shoddy brake work out there.
It might not show up so much away from the rust belt, but here rust and at grade
stopping tear up brakes. Along with folks not using the E-brake.

I pull the brackets, polish every wear surface, clean the pins, and lube it all (including pistons the boot) with brake grease. Guys who jusf swap pads soon have sticking calipers. Then they blame the caliper and buy new ones.
