What is a Goose doing in a tree,
Fermented grains? Looking for a place to put a nest perhaps? I've seen them nesting on cliffs in the Snake River canyon. Guessing that one slid on that slick spot and tried to catch itself with it's beak? Bad idea it would seem. Sam, you should be eating goose a la big green egg tonight.

We see geese perched in trees all the time so that's not odd but this was a first!
And I think the bird caught it's neck right while we were there. It must not have been stuck very long because it's neck wasn't chafed, all the feathers were still there.
I got it to quit fighting and pushed it ahead enough where the crack in the tree widened and it popped right out. Gave it a little toss and it took right off.
It would have been a neat vid but no way to film.
