PS- Turks and Caicos is a schithole, anyway. Why TH would you go there in the first place? Except that it was probably CHEAP. There's a reason it's cheap, people.

An American Expeditionary Force to Turks and Caicos seems about appropriate.

Interesting - departing US airport didn't find it. It was found at destination. TSA at its best.

Why do people delight in traveling to poor countries where they're disliked / unwelcome.
Sense of arrogant superiority, maybe ?

Sound advice.

I once took a domestic flight to Ohio

Going through my checked suitcase later I found five rounds of .38 Sp hollow points on a speed strip I didn’t realize were there in a side pocket.

I guess the speed strip made the ammo look like it was boxed per TSA regs…

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/transporting-firearms-and-ammunition

I got lucky that it weren’t an international flight, or to New Jersey, where possession of hollowpoint handgun ammo is a felony.

Warm sandy beaches and drinks with little umbrellas in them.

I hate to see people get jammed up like that, but come on, man.. How much does a carry on bag cost?

Probably should think about not leaving that schit in your bag.
