I did an internship with Philip Morris when I was in grad school and was amazed how much consumer information they had for every zip code in the US. Menthol cigarette ads target Afro-Americans and women of all races. Marlboro was just starting to push menthols in 1985, now they offer several varieties and a brand that was popular back then, RJR's Salem brand, is almost never seen anymore. Kools and Newports are the menthol brands that I see the most store ads for.

Menthols are for negroes and skanks that want fresh breath but never want to brush their teeth.
That was my hypothesis running a roofing crew
If you live nowhere near groids or always had a pansy desk job surrounded by lame ass fellow honkies, you never learned another one of the real world nuances.

yep when i was in the Army in early 80's ,when everyone smoked .all the Blacks who smoked .Only smoked menthol cigs. ,,Salem , or Newports ect. .never seen on who smoked a reguler cig.
