An Israeli woman. As protesters (probably paid) whoop it up outside, the students elected an Israeli student to head their student government next year. It's an interesting turn of events and shows that maybe the media is promoting the trouble makers rather than the real students.

So you think voting at a major (((uni))) is the same as national elections? I bet you're right... so it doesn't matter, as she was installed like the pudding in chief.

She drives a tank? Bet she gets lots of dates.

Israeli student elected by Columbia for role of student president as protests surge
The election comes as the Columbia campus experiences an overwhelming wave of anti-Israel protests and student encampments.

Columbia University has elected Israeli student Maya Platek as Columbia student government president for the 2024-2025 school year, the organization Students Supporting Israel (SSI) announced Friday.

The election of an Israeli student for the role comes as the Columbia campus experiences an overwhelming wave of anti-Israel protests and encampments.

Platek has been determined to speak up for Jewish students on campus as a member of SSI, an organization that, according to its website, aims to allow for a pro-Israel voice on college campuses.

Platek introduced herself to the student body in a speech following her election.

“I am an Israeli rising senior and was recently elected as the Student Body President at Columbia University. As Columbia hits a peak of antisemitism and anti-Zionism, I am honored to have been elected as next year’s Student Body President. More than ever before, it is critical that our voices are heard and our safety is protected.”



Columbia University has also been slammed with unprecedented levels of antisemitic activity, including violent behavior against Jewish students.

Speaking out against antisemitism on campus

Platek spoke out against the antisemitism and anti-Israel sentiment throughout campus, criticizing her classmates and professors for their behavior on campus.

“Our classmates and professors choose to manipulate history in order to demonize us as people have done all throughout history. They choose to rewrite our identity in order to justify terrorist regimes. They choose to cheer in our pain and in our suffering, and they choose to delegitimize the only Jewish state in the world when there are dozens of Christian and Muslim ones," Platek explained.

"They choose to advocate for our removal from this campus over our nationality. That is discrimination,” she proclaimed as she stood on a platform on the university’s campus.

I suspect that the protesters are a small minority of students, or maybe not students at all. Yet, the press will make them out to be a super majority. The one thing you can count on from the liberal media is a pack of lies.

I'd even pay for dinner at a place that doesn't have a value menu or accept groupon's to get a ride in the tank.

You’d think they could find a Jewish lawyer willing to file a class-action suit against the organization responsible for the protests/impeding the educational process there at Columbia.

What do these ąssholes have against a park?

Service in the Israeli military isn't an option over there, its mandatory, especially when young.

Too bad its not a requirement in this country.

The absolute worst thing this country could do would be mandate military service. As it is - all volunteer, there are wayyyyy too many people serving that have no business serving. Last thing we need is to add to that number with people who don't want to be there.

I'll bet 80% of the people protesting could form a single intelligent thought about why they are protesting.

They are paid agitators. Same few thousand who burned America after George Floyd and same few thousand who will burn America the coming first week of November.

With endless video footage of drones blowing infantry away in Ukraine, and a pudding pop for a president, the military is going to continue having a hard time recruiting. Once the globalists get this war in full gear, the draft will be soon to follow.

Not to mention, if twelve years in the govt education system didn't turn out a model citizen, why would someone assume involuntary servitude in the military would make a difference?

If they started the draft again, would the liberal women demand equal rights?

As long as it is just another government job…

People advocating for universal military service probably have an outdated idea of what military service is actually like in 2024. It ain’t your father’s or grandfather’s military. You have military discipline enforcing wokeness.
