Took a safe queen out today for some target shooting. Kahr CW9, pulling trigger it would not strike bullet hard enough to fire the primer. Barley, if at all, was the firing pin making a dent on the primer. Any suggestion's?
Field striped it at range, could not get it to fire. Haven't done a deep clean/Maintenance on it yet. Has been sitting in gun safe for little more then a year.

Well, do the 'deep clean/maintenance' on it and try again.. If it's still failing, call Kahr and have them fix it.. It'll be done quickly and with probably zero cost..

My bet would be a fouled striker channel. Do you need a tip for making the slide disassembly easier? There is a trick using a bent piece of coat hanger that takes all the difficulty out of it.

You might want to consider some maintenance since you don't shoot it for over a year and that is a long time not to shoot a gun.

A while back, I had issues with a CW45. Intermittent firing, jams, stovepipes... didn't matter factory ammo or reloads. Sent it in to Kahr, they sent me back a brand new pistol stating too many "issues" with the polymer frame. Been years now, replacement pistol still burning up ammo without a hitch.

some years back I had a CW 45 how to number of small issues just often enough to be annoying the most often was litr strikes.. finally just traded it off. but I never could get it quite figured out. probably should have sent it to Kahr maybe they just sent me a new one back then don't know.

the problem with a lot of the small handguns people shoot them a little bit and assume everything's good and really don't shoot them enough to figure out if they're reliable or not until they've got quite a bit of age on them or at the least opportune time they figure it out...

Of all the Kahr's I've had, only ONE had an issue: a slight crack in the frame of my P-9. Called Kahr, they sent a call tag and off it went. Less than ten days later (IIRC) I got a box back. They had replaced the frame. Since that also had the S/N on it, they sent a letter with the pistol referring to anyone who might inquire that the new S/N is on record with the company. It should be kept in the box and enclosed with the gun if it's ever sold/traded to anyone else.

NO charge..

Personally interested in the outcome here. I have a few Kahrs that have been trouble free,,,, so far. Wondering about what to look out for.
