How much real word difference in these 2 rifles when running a 70 grain bullet? Will the 22-250 shoot flatter at extended range?

You can go to JBM ballistics anf load the data and it will give you all of the info you are seeking. I have found their calculations to be very close to real world results.

41 Why limit yourself to the 70gr bullet, in either of those cartridges? If your 22-250 is twisted right, I'd step up to an 80 or 88. The 243, I'd be looking at a 100gr pill. Life is too short to limit yourself like that.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

No reason why you couldn’t do a fast twist 243. I run 105 Amax in my 243 AI with an 8 twist barrel and it shoots lights out.
If you stick with a 70 gr bullet a standard 243 is superior to the 22-250. Not sure why you would want that artificial constraint.

I like the looks of the 80 grain ELD-X, was just reading about it. And l have a big jug of Reloder 26 to push it if I go 22-250

Got one of each with a one in 7 twist on either....
I'd load and shoot what ever you desired... you're the only one that will be shooting YOUR rifle.
We should count ourselves lucky, that we can get either barrel and have a ton of good choices.
Just match the bullet weight for the job you intend...
I don't see a bad choice really available with either cartridge.
