For those of you who have construction experience, how do I figure out the appropriate side angles for this type of structure. Thinking the ridge line / roof pitch would be ideally 8/12 for my purposes, no idea what the side joint angles should be. Shed to be 12x24, made go with this design, maybe not!
There are 540 degrees in a pentagon...
Since the bottom two are right angles totaling 180 degrees... the remaining three angles will total 360 degrees.
If you want a 12/12 roof the sides will be 135 degrees each...
That kinda thing.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
Sorry, out of code for any utilities and cute only lasts until the next blow.

What possible advantages could that layout have over setting up normal walls and building the roof to fit it? I don’t get much easier than that. Plus, an eve overhang is just one of the benefits to going that route.
The ONLY advantage is saving a few boards by not plating the walls and blocking the rafters. Rafters can be birdsmouthed either flush, or for eave overhang. One other advantage of a flush cut roof is, it can be diaphramed with the wall sheathing to prevent wind lift (you can also diaphram an overhang by notching the sheathing around the rafter tails). And plating eliminates the roof load pivot point of that cheezy rafter to wall stud angle connection. The only way I would even consider that, is if gang nails/press plates were doubled on every miter. And that isn't practical unless you own a truss shop.....
Correct, those numbers on a framing square are there for a reason, but most have no clue how to use them. This is much easier.
