Myself and Deflave have a "history" going back for years..
Think we reached a point of a understanding concerning mutually assured destruction per over interacting with each other.
At least I did, messing with him and a select couple of other members was a touch and go thing at times for me.
You take on Big Dogs, be prepared to get a Big Dog azz whipping or be a Big Dog azzwhipper.
Ain't no draws in that game...
You could walk away the " winner" or limp away severely scuffed the fuuuk up.
Nuff said about all of that...

One thing I will say, is I have never read bad advice or experience given on here from him concerning firearm stuff.
Have had some points of other veiws with him per other firearm subjects at times, but nothing bad to tell the truth.

I used to do mods to glocks.
Polish jobs on various parts
Connectors put in.
Spring mods.
Blah blah blah blah blah..

This is gonna be a wandering post per subject matter sequence at times.
But most on here should be able to make heads or fuuuks outta it all.
🀣

On this blue label 17.5, and I have had at least 4 of them so far
per the viscous cycle of buying other brands of pistols and always going back to a Glock.

All that has done is give me a good working knowledge of other brands.

Anyways...
All I did to this 17.5 was polish the safety plunger, even left the plunger spring alone and didn't clip 2 coils like I normally do.
Put a Glock store Double Diamond 3.5 connecter in it.
Put a Glock Store milled and heat treated extended slide lock in it.
Set of truglo tritiums from midsouth
And the normal ergo stuff Floorplate extensions I like and the medium beaver tail back strap, and a vickers grip plug tool.

Lanny McGill is a doof red on the noodle like a Peter on a poodle in his vids.
But Lanny also unazzed tent pegs and said πŸ–•to commiefornia and moved to Tenneafuukingssee πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
So he has to have some iota of common sense....

But the Glock Store in Viva Nashvegas is da schit to walk into.
It's Glock Nirvana for parts.
Like walking into enlightenment.

As far as buying a gun or ammo their.
Dont....
Nashvegas prices.....
Their aftermarket parts are similar priced to many others in the game, that is the main thing to me.
Selection of just about anything glock wise you can think of.
Warehouse and manufacturing facilities right next door to the store.
They call the warehouse if a part shows in stock per website and not on floor.
A worker runs it over within 5 to 10 mins.
Parking is limited to about 25 spots at the store and people are circling looking for a spot to come open.
Parking 40 yds away at warehouse is available also.
The place is always rocking with business.
Weekdays are a little less jammed.
And they need more employees during peak days.IMO.....
So it can be a little while before you get help.

Anyways with the normal mods and work.
Got it down to 4.5 pds.
Was happy with that.
Still had that typical take up sponge feel to the wall.
That short compressing sponge feel thru the break.
The reset snap and click that always felt kinda indistinct to me.
Which was always waaaaaay better than those similar feels but improved over a stock Glock trigger

Stuff I always felt was a " improvement" and the norm.

Dry firing in the garage yesterday morning.

Out of the blue yesterday morning I remembered Deflave posting on here about the Glock performance trigger...
Strange how mental triggers work...

Started watching vids on it.
Alot of well known you tube types .
Group reduction and them talking about super smooth even take up to the wall and almost no sponge at all thru the crisp break.
Forced reset per single action design of other striker fired pistol designs with cocked firing pin spring.
One well known dude went to Austria to the factory.
One oem trigger in a Gen 5 17 or 19
Other with performance trigger in a gen5 17 or 19
IIRC..
Target shooting 17 or 18 yds
Dramatic difference in group size reduction.
Like well over 1/3rd group size reduction.
Strikingly so....

Said fuuk it...
Rolled on down to Viva Nashvegas and the Glock Store yesterday around 11am.
Version 2 with the 5pd glock connector.
Geuss they don't make the version 1 4pd anymore.
Dude said it will be 4.5 when ya put it in and lube it.
But it will not feel like 4.5 to you at all due to its design.
I swear to god this trigger feels like 3pds but gauges at 4.5 each and every time.
Amazed at its feel and consistency.

89 bucks, 97 and change after tax.
2 Popeyes chicken sandwiches on way back.

Installed it last night.

All I'm gonna say.
Is Holy Fuuuk!!!!
Going out in a while to FISH CAMP and put a couple hundred rounds thru it.
I have put 350 so far thru it since February with the mods of the past.
With this Glock Performance trigger it is a night and day difference dry firing it.
A million % improvement to say the least. IMO.

Still looks like a Tupperware gun to me- - - - -doesn't need ammo- - - -just ugly the target to death! Almost, but not quite as ugly as a Webley .455 top break revolver!

Good to hear from you Rene. From a long time Glockaphile and professional range rat I can state w/out hesitation that lots of trigger time both dry and live fire will produce much better results than does messing w/parts.

My first priority is always reliability. Both in my weapon and in my performance under a variety of conditions. Only thousands of rounds and hours of dry fire in deliberate practice produce and prove both. In my experience modified Glocks have far more problems than do the stock ones, and the more modifications the higher the failure rate.

I do agree w/you that 'flave was a good source of info on weapons and was also a compulsive gun plumber and poster. You guys kept this place interesting and are missed by the less sensitive folks.

Some people actually shoot guns, not just stare at them and have weird sexual feelings towards inanimate objects.

It wouldn't hurt to let some of those thoughts go untyped once in a while.

If you would’ve bought a holosun you could’ve bought a performance trigger.

I've become a Horosun fan, so far zero failures but I only have 4 of them so far. Still have 2 Trijicon RMRs.

The dots are great for old eyes at least in my case.

Good to see R50 post.

True.....but it was on sale and the Navy Seals use them so....I'm pretty much an operator now.
