I threw out my Curtis-Mathes console AM/FM 8-track TV after Seattle Slew won.

Watching Lidia on the cooking channel awaiting the race. I am just about done with my first Julep. Forget how tasty they are.

Wow, what a finish.

Cool that the winning trainer and jockey also won the Oaks yesterday. I imagine their fees just went way, way up.

Did the Kentucky Derby let that NBC moron Bob Costas ruin the event with his bloviating, again??

I got home about 10 minutes before the start and took over the TV from my wife and SIL.

We all agreed it was an amazing finish.

Yeah, crock of bull hockey... First year for legal online betting in KY. Seemed like they just kept delaying and delaying to allow time for bets to build... When I was younger, I seem to recall gate time being about 5:00pm. This year 6:57pm. And where did they come up with all of these British talking heads? In Kentucky?

Came in from doing stuff, saw the time, watched them bring the horses around and Riders Up, and then the race. Muted any commercials.

Race was a good one, thought the winner made a big mistake running on the rail, figured he'd get squeezed back. Nope, smart move it was.

The one lady doing trainer interviews killed me. It was like she stepped out of a Monty Python skit.

Lol, NBC must have got them for a discount or something.

Was hoping to see it in person, but it didn't work out. I was also my sister's 50th birthday. She hosted a Derby/Birthday party. I offered to make the mint julep's. It was a good time.
