Does anyone know for certain if the 788 and the 580-581-582 rimfire series triggers are interchangeable? I thought they was but the safety lever looks different and some triggers I have seen appear to be a different variation on different guns. Thanks

The bolt stop is definitely shaped different between rimfire and centerfire. Like Hippy said with modifications you can make it work.
