Was I the only one to hear that earthquake about 11 pm last night? I actually heard it before it started to rattle the house, it wasn't a real shaker but the noise was very loud.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

It woke me up out of a dead sleep, I can only remember one other that was this loud and that was about 4 years ago that happened in the springtime.

You must be in the Palin Valley somewhere.

Yep, I heard it before it hit, and it didn't feel like much outside of Anchorage. It seems like the quakes up here you generally hear before you feel them.

All the inlet and river ice must have attenuated the sound here! smile

Didn't hear it at my place in ER. Felt 1 bump, just enough to get my attention. Wasn't asleep.

Wasn't much as far as quakes go. I felt one or two bumps and heard something. We live pretty close to the RR tracks & It took a moment to deside weather it was a train or a quake. --- Mel

I was sleeping on the ground a couple years back during a hunt and was shaken awake by a nice one. I honestly rank it up there with my "neat" experiences, being that I was on the ground.

Missed it last night, as I usually do...

Anybody got a set of chimes in the house, or some audible device like that?

Taylor
