As a young man I read whatever I could get my hands on. My mom knew I liked to read automotive magazines, so she subscribed me to Easyrider, little did she know what was exactly inside the pages. I eagerly awaited every month for the new issue to hit our mailbox.

This bike here was there, screaming "David Mann" and Jeff Cochran to me.

Low, rigid, 110cu in Twin Cam, converted to carbureted, shortened front end and well executed. Couldn't see wires or hoses all over. I bet it flies.

Nice looking bike, but seems more like a Bobber class than a Chopper.

Link has a compilation of EasyRiders tech tip articles from back in the day. PDF files of the articles. ER had great graphics back then.

Anyone going to be working on Shovelheads could use the info in there.

I can't say exactly if this was Mann inspired, but I'd surely seen many of his paintings & the trend of th scooters he normally drew.

I traded a Jeep for this, a '53.

One year of riding told me what need fixed & what needed changed. Amo ng many upgrades &I de-raked the frame & cut 4 or 6" off the fork tubes. Looking at it, I should have cut off a couple more.
