Eventually the producers will get fed up with subsidizing the parasites and cut off their meal ticket. The parasites will cry to the politicians, who will initially try to placate them with more handouts. Then the producers will start killing off the politicians who don't fall into line. I hope there's not a severe shortage of rope to suspend their bloated carcasses from every available tree, lamp post, and highway overpass. The buzzards, carrion crows, and other scavengers will get too fat to fly, picking the bones of the politicians, corrupt judges, and bureaucrats who are printing worthless money by the ton and sending it all over the world so they can collect their 10% kickbacks!

We are being governed by a Coup that has taken over government by fraud and treasonous rigging of our elections. Everyone knows this is true whether they'll admit it or not. So yes we're in a civil war of sorts now. The coming election will tell whether we manage to take our country back or abdicate to the criminals. Trump must win and I think he just might but they will never stop trying to destroy him. If they're allowed to steal the down ballot seats and take the house and senate it will essentially neuter his election. He will be forced to suffer the continuous attacks for his term.
For nearly four years we have witnessed the abdication of duty by republicans in both houses. Our slim majority in the house makes no difference and the democrats roll on their murderous agenda. The senate democrat majority is solidified by an aloof republican minority and the agenda is confirmed by the uniparty. The fact that republicans have not used any of the tools available to them to mitigate the damage or to protect Trump is proof positive they are culpable.
This is a red line moment for Americans in all states. Just how much do you each want to take our Nation back from the criminals? Washington is getting scared as they slowly realize the massive voter support for trump. They all know that retribution is on the horizon and this is their red line moment. They haven't managed to destroy him yet. It's up to us to deny them the opportunity to do it.

The argument could be made that it was. If you were a Tory and If you were going to burned out because of it. And you with your family fled to Canada. Then yes it was in a sense civil war.

Well not according to the true definition of "civil war", the British weren't welcome here nor citizens of our country.

That whole "You're subjects of the King - not really citizens of Britain" thing is weird.

I don’t think a civil war as we know it by history will ever happen. It will be more of a Hitler type control before most people realize what they allowed to happen. One million people can’t make the other billion understand!

Colonists were subjects but not citizens of Britain from what I understand. Subject to the king and his rules but not given the same/full rights as a British citizen. Thus the whole "No taxation without representation" deal.

People will have to get a lot less comfortable before anything like that will happen........and the ones in charge know this. That's why things are done slowly and steadily toward tyranny.

I look in people's faces all the time for a clue that they have a clue. Once in a while a grim recognition stares back. Knowing there's not a damn thing any of us can do but be frugal below the radar and wait, hoping to adapt, isn't the most hopeful realization.
