On the upside it broke early

I'm waiting on mine to arrive hopefully tomorrow. It might go on a 45-70 Guide Gun or an AR.

My son told me that his BIL put one on his Henry 45-70. Shot “over 100 rounds so far” and it has been fine. He plans to put the second on a CVA Scout also in 45-70.

I ordered mine 3-22-24...... Midway has only gotten to "label created" and doesn't show delivery until 4-2-24. It was the free shipping offer but but free now seems to mean pony express speed.

Since the 22nd was friday the soonest it would ship would be today. No telling with Midway, it could have shipped and they just haven't updated on their end.

This evening I had four does out back so I decided to do a low light experiment with this scope.
They were about 10-20 yards from the woodline, but from my angle, still had the woodline behind them. Range 300+. Sunset was 7:16, at 7:46 I could still clearly see the does and the reticle. It was no problem to center the reticle on a doe"s chest.
I can't speak to the durability of the scope, but optically, it will be fine for hunting. At the range last week the adjustments worked well. Would it be better with a top end at 6x, I think so. But, the 4x will be fine out to 300ish. I look forward to hunting with it next season.

I like the 4” ER, pretty much constant across the magnification range. That simplifies mounting. Mine rode a .22 for a bit and is due to go on a .50 inline, which ought to give it a stress test.
What fresh Hell is this?

I don't know if the vibration and bolt slamming of the Russian AR will cause any stress to speak of on this one. I'm thinking of putting one on a 45-70 Guide gun. Can't say that I will though, it's got a Leupold 4x with #4 heavy reticle that's well sighted in. I could see it going on my Savage 220 slug gun.
Never hurts to have one on the shelf. I'm a believer in spares.
It should work great on your MZLDR.

Thanks Jason. I needed a few other things, so ordered another scope and got the free shipping on the small items I needed.

The first one I ordered ended up on a 16" .308 AR, the other two will probably be mounted on a couple 5.56 AR's.
