As Mini's go,I've suffered all of it. The CZ route, while being well made, simply PALES like everything else in comparison to the JO V2 BDL Bottom. Hint.

I'm hard on schit and V2 both weathers well,it is roubust and the design defies an unwanted opening of guts. It also affords the greatest COAL latitude. Hint.

AscensionIndustries' mags with JO's detachable bm might be nice. If it will work with the 350, I'll give it a try.

I went with his CZ mag unit for my .223. It accepts the 3-round flush M mags as well as the ones that stick out, and the mags are nice blued steel. The 527 is no more, so eventually the mags will disappear, but I have enough. Haven’t run into any COAL issues, but I usually shoot pingpong balls and my loads may end up in a number of different rifles, so I keep them to standard length, mostly.

Was actually kind of an experiment as I already had his hinged unit on my Grendel. Either classes up the Minis no end…..

So , there is no way to get the JO's bottom metal to work with the 350 Legend? Am just starting to plan ahead when I ever get around to buying a 350. Thanks in advance.... Joe

Based on input from the maker, his BDL/hinged floorplate model will not work with the 350. This is also noted on the order page for it.

His aluminum replacement for Howa's plastic trigger guard works with the Howa mags. It's solid and secure unlike the factory plastic. It's currently the best route to go for the 350. If AscensionIndustries' mags work with the 350, pairing them with the JO's aluminum could be an improvement as well.

Never been a fan of DMs in general, but just wanted to give it a shot. Works well, and if you get the CZ527 M3 mags, they’re pretty flush. For someone that needs a DM, it seems like the best option.

I'd considered it to try with the 350. I didn't foresee playing with OAL for it and liked the flush(er) fit. After searching a bit for mags, trying to verify they would work well with the 350, etc, I finally decided I'd go with what I could get at the time. It does look like a slick implementation.

At some point I'm going to shorten one of the Howa factory plastic mags. It won't be flush, but with the slim width of the Stocky's stock should work ok. Even with the Howa mags below the stock line right now, because of the heavy 350 barrel, it still balances decent for one hand carry right in front of the mags.

I got an early email with $449...later with $349. If it was a planned stimulus, it worked on me.

Definitely $349 on their site; I checked. 😬

Still have the 7.62 stainless at $480 with 10% off code; tempting both!

If they add a stainless 6 ARC, I’ll buy.

You will utilize the factory bottom howa plate and the internals. This will just make everything fit tight to the stock.

I also currently make 223 Tikka T3/T3X mags.

JO and IIRC DIP, make alloy replacements for the Howa plastic guard and accept factory mags, and presumably yours as well. No experience with either as both mine have JO units.

I have the DIP bottom metal and it’s down me good. I’ll go JO next one I buy as hinged floor plate though.
