Been hunting all week with my dad. Ran into lots of hunters on opening day even though it was raining. Pretty miserable this week with the rain and fog. Passed up a Jake Tuesday morning. Dad had to leave yesterday and we didn't hunt. I went to what has historically been a good spot. Couple birds gobbling right where I hoped they would be. Two nice birds came in just like it was scripted. This one stayed. Nice 2 year old id guess. Shot was about 30 yards. Beard is 9 3/4 and spurs right at an inch. I love this time of year!!!

What scatter gun were you using? I haven't graduated to the small bores yet. Shooting a stoeger 3500 with my own custom rattle can paint job. It's accounted for a few now. Heavy though. I may go back to my 1300....
