Walmart, Igloo, Colemant, Styrofoam, none of these are going to stand up to Cocaine Bear
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

Just go to WalMart and buy a large $20 cooler, ice your stuff down, and make someone a gift of it when you leave. This is definitely plan B.

There’s an outfit in Bozeman/Belgrade that rents them and all kinds of other outdoor equipment. It is in the opposite direction of your travels, but I offer it as proof that such a place exists! I can’t believe there’s not a place in/near Missoula. https://explore-rentals1.pointofrentalcloud.com/portal/There are actually several gear rental places around the perimeter of Yellowstone. Spotting scopes, binos, coolers, bikes.

When you do the math on the daily rates, Plan B is less expensive for anything more than a couple days. Add in no need for a $500 deposit, becomes a "no-brainer"...
